Prosthetic Socket:
Developed to restore natural mobility and comfort.
For patients with amputations. These devices are fully custom-fitted, designed to protect the residual limb while enabling confident and balanced movement. My work focused on refining and ensuring each prosthetic was custom-designed and solved instability issues.
Identified key Areas of successful prosthetic implantation
Each prosthetic was designed around the unique anatomy and mobility needs of the patient. The system combines a liner for soft-tissue protection and a vacuum-formed shell for structure and stability.
For forelimb prosthetics, a cuff was incorporated to provide upper-limb support and secure the device without restricting movement. Depending on the patient’s needs, a hinge mechanism was added to protect the residual limb while maintaining flexibility.
These images capture the final prosthetic devices. Each unit was fully customized to the patient’s anatomy, ensuring proper alignment, comfort that conforms to the unique anatomy of each patient, and stability. The photos highlight the refined form language, shell contouring, and hinge integration, showcasing the final stage of the design process where digital modeling meets real-world application.
